I have previously suffered from anxiety for 22 years and I was fortunate in successfully implementing the Linden Method, then once recovered going onto becoming a fully accredited practitioner. As a result of my own personal journey, I am both incredibly passionate and driven to guide and help others to freedom and imminent recovery.
Throughout my childhood and early adult life I suffered severely with OCD, Pure O, Agoraphobia, Derealisation and Depersonalisation. I had been down every path of therapy and medication that I had been offered, doing hours of research and making very little progress. Not only was this hugely expensive but it also only gave me the ability to manage my struggles in the very short term. I knew there had to be a way out of the torturous existence I was living on a daily basis. Having hit rock bottom, I found Charles Linden and his story. Everything he had mentioned and also what he had been through himself, first-hand, resonated with me hugely.
Implementing a method that was simple, yet affective with guidance from real professionals completely changed my life. Not only did I have the tools to fully recover, but I was also educated as to why I had been suffering the way I had been for so many years. I felt empowered with the ability and aptitude to take full responsibility to face scenarios head on.
I have now been fully recovered for four years and have done more than I ever thought was possible. I have travelled, now have a home with my beautiful girlfriend, whom I am bringing our first child into the world with. All of this I previously thought I would not be deserving of. There is nothing I am more passionate about than moving forward whilst showing and inspiring everyone who is currently suffering, that they can and will recover. With the right guidance and tools, recovery is imminent and there is nothing more empowering than being on that road to recovery.
How has curiosity played a part in your life?
I have always been a hugely curious person. Even back to when I was a small child, I remember being a very deep thinker and always wanting to go on adventures. I found that at times I would get bored very quickly with monotonous activities and i always new there was more to life. Moving into my teenage years and young adult life I have found that to feel fulfilled I need to take on new challenges and have more things to work towards.
What would you say to a man who feels unhappy?
TALK! Open Up! You will be so surprised at how many people are also finding life tough. You are not alone. Also, you have choices in life and no matter how hard life gets, you are never stuck no matter how stuck you might feel. Getting up and doing exercise or even changing small habits can make you feel SO much better. Remember if you want to change, its the small changes and small steps that all come together in the long run which creates the big, positive changes.
What ignites the fire in your belly?
Challenging myself and also helping other people feel fulfilled. We all have so much to give in this life and I am passionate in finding what makes me tick and also what makes others tick! After suffering from Anxiety for so many years and now being recovered, I know in my blood I am here to educate and guide others to recovery.
